The Agency proactively became a pioneer of municipal marketing in 1996, when selected by the Elizabeth Development Company as the first outside agency to promote the city's UEZ program. The program was awarded as nation's best in 1997. With steady progression in the following years, the agency spearheaded public relations and marketing programs for many other municipalities, including Paterson, West New York, Asbury Park, Lakewood, Wildwood, and Plainfield.
Additionally, FitzMedia has served Special Improvement Districts in Bayonne and Paterson as well as managed public information for the County of Passaic and the Weehawken Public Library/Multi-Media Center.
Over the years, FitzMedia has steadily extended and diversified its public relations and marketing expertise with assignments from the NJ Transit, the MetroStars, New Jersey Restaurant Association, Waterloo Foundation for the Arts, Studio Printworks, Monroe Center for the Arts, John Wiley & Sons, and The New Jersey Meadowlands Commission, among others. Recently, the Agency worked on the groundbreaking of the W Hotel in Hoboken.
As the Agency for the 200th Anniversary Commemoration of the Alexander Hamilton/Aaron Burr Duel, FitzMedia secured the attention of local, national and international media such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, CBS News Sunday Morning, CNN and BBC News. Similarly, as the Agency for the annual “A Taste of Weehawken,” FitzMedia has been instrumental in obtaining sponsorship for this important local event from such diverse entities as The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Hartz Mountain Industries, and others.
Understanding that each client has very different and unique needs, FitzMedia applies creative and practical solutions in order to generate effective and ‘buzz-worthy’ results.
